On April 15, more than 500 people gathered together in Portland, Oregon to celebrate a new day for nursing! Guests at the celebration announcement of the NFN included NFN President Barbara Crane, NFN Vice-President Julie Shuff, NFN Secretary Kim Armstrong, NFN Treasurer RoseMarie Martin, and NFN Directors Bruce Humphreys, Jeanne Avey and Vicky Bird. Nurses from all six state nursing associations involved in the formation of the NFN were also in attendance. Special guests from Oregon included Oregon’s Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian, Secretary of State Kate Brown, and Congressman Kurt Schrader.
